Depending on the load, the lid pocket can be fastened either with a center-mounted carabiner or two side straps with aloy hooks. Four included webbing straps and five exterior daisy chains provide attachment options for gear.

Depending on ski-length and personal preference, place the included webbing straps in the desired loop of the daisy-chain.
Lateral ski attachment made easy: feed the 4 included webbing-straps (2 on each side of the pack) through the daisy chains. The strap length can be adjusted steplessly depending on ski-width.
In order to secure the skis, clip the karabiner (found in the interior lid pocket) to the drawcord and run the cord through the grey webbing loop as a pulley.

Trekking poles attach quickly to the side of the pack. Skis, snowshoes, snowboards, etc. can also be secured to the front using the 4 included webbing straps.
Apart from the two standard ski attachment techniques (lateral and diagonal), when in open country the skis can also be clamped under the pack lid without the need of additional straps. This technique is actually very comfortable as the skis are positioned close to the body and the load sits right next to the shoulders.
